One More Done

#1

Post by OutoftheWoodwork »

Ken helped me get Snoopy done between last night and tonight. Still have to attach the solar lights to him, but those were put up in the attic because I thought Snoopy was on hold for yet another year. Ah well, he's cut and painted. I have four mini reindeer to finish, and two more gingerbread to get painted. Hoping to get the gingerbread boys finished tomorrow.

Thank you. I did it out of 1/2" ply. Two 2x2's will be attached to the back, then steel rods will be in the 2x2's to stick them in the ground.

Did you forget the Red Baron's bullet holes? Every Snoopy dog house that I've ever seen has them.

Nice project. Where are you going to put the lights?

But then Snoopy would need his WWI leather pilot cap and goggles.

I once had a dog that spent a lot of time on the peaked roof of his dog house, but he was an Aussie Shepard, so not at all like a Snoopy. He lived in our house more than his anyway, only living out there when we went away, but my son drilled the bullet holes in the dog house anyway.

Here's the original pattern, Charley. This is what I'm following for placement, but there's pictures all over Google with Snoopy holding lights like this, but he's holding a lot more, and some along the wall of his house. Where I place the lights will depend on how many I have when I get the bag down next fall. (I forget how many I have, but I want to say I have about 10 or so. I think I bought them out when I found them.)
