The shower is Swanstone... note the ceiling mounted rain-head...
The vanity and medicine cabinet were built to fit... originally they were cherry... then she happened....
the cabinet is fully recessed into the wall for more cabinet volume...

Nice job. I grind my teeth when someone decides to paint over real wood with nice grain which was often expensive to buy. My attitude is if you're going to paint it, tell me, and I'll build it out of pine or poplar.

I have never heard of Swanstone before. Is that a type of marble? I like the idea of the rain head in the ceiling, Nice job.

when someone decides to paint over real wood

that wasn't the 1st time for that...
Black Walnut louvered doors... a lot of them...
character rich Birch kitchen...
Oak doors, trim, casing and crown,,,
same for a house full of oiled VGF...
maple dinette...
and on and on...

when I saw the paint job in the kitchen I asked her what the F* she do to my kitchen...
her old man from the next room chimed in w/ " I told ya so"...

most often the paint jobs are a result of some DS telling the HO that the "whatever" need a "modern" look...

I have experienced that also with the paint, my wife was the same, I think it is because they can change the color every so many years, and not have to worry about the varnish and the stain underneath, She was a very good painter in that she liked one color,WHITE, and so when I redid the kitchen it was all white laminate and all the wood work was white. The whole house was white ,walls ceilings trim, vinyl floor, everything, baths the same.

most often the paint jobs are a result of some DS telling the HO that the "whatever" need a "modern" look...

I see a lot of that on the reno shows on HGTV. The husband carpenter/contractor and the wife interior designer. I'd love to have a conversation with some of them and explain that the classic look has survived this long because the classic look doesn't get old and outdated in 2 years.

never saw even one show or any like it......

got a fix up to ready for the market that was on the market for a long time...
convinced the HO to wash down the really old WW w/ Murphy's and call it good, not to paint everything or c/o the fir doors w/ those elcheapo 6 panel made out of paper ones as recommended by the realtor......
to clean the tile work w/ DWV and not to change it out...
to paint and add fake strap hings to the 2 OHDs...
clean the wainscot and real wood Aspen kitchen cabinets, not paint...
locked horns w/ the realtor over all this.. the realtor was the one that wanted all the c/o's so the house "would sell"...
brought in a landscaper to pretty things up (done in one day) and not do an overhaul - guess who suggested the over haul...
the people got 12K over asking... I got 2500 for a tip.. the realtor got fired...

At least the drawer fronts' moldings look like real miters; i detest those ones that are routed with rounded corners.

If the raised panel has rounded corners then it's either painted mdf or vinyl covered mdf. I worked at a place that did that once. You could do it on a solid piece of wood but I can't recall seeing that done. Maybe you guys have.
