Yesteryear's House....

this is the start....
the bay window was pulling away from the house and leaked every time it rained as did all of the windows and doors - no flashing or poorly done... the bay window was fastened to the OSB only...
there wasn't any insulation either...
as you can see the framing was right close to the ground...

it wasn't a remodel...
it was repairs to the work a contractor had just finished...
he got run off and I tore out and redid most of what he did....

Why didn't the building inspector catch that or was it done without a permit?

it was inspected but I don't know the why for how come...
