Explaining some of the buttons for posting

Don't feel like a dumb bunny trying to post here. I will include some tips,it took me awhile and a bunch of questions to get rid on my frustrations.
After you post your message and you want to edit it, Up along the top right of your post there are some buttons. The first is a pencil, that gives you the edit option. click on that to edit your post. You have 3 hours to edit or add to your post before it shuts off.
On other peoples posts, there is an exclamation symbol, that is to report something to the administrators about the post.
then comes the next button is a quote symbol, click on that to quote the person's message to make a comment about what they said.
Then there is a shield which you click on to quote more than one person's messages .
The last one is a thumbs up or down, which you "LIKE'or "DISLIKE" what the person said in their message.
As I learn more I will update this thread to help others find their way around.

I usually post pictures off my computer. The way I found to do it is to select the picture from a folder or your desktop, and drag it over and kind of feel around when it says copy under it drop it it will show up under your message and then hit submit and the message and picture will show up on the screen.
Now if you have a series of several pictures showing a sequence of operations, do this.
Select the LAST picture and drag it to your message and drop. Then working last to first drag and drop your pictures into your message. They will post in the correct order from first to last.
You also will see a preview button at the bottom of the screen where you can preview the post and the order of the picture. This gives you a chance to rearrange the pictures before you submit.
If you want to add pictures after you have submitted your message, go to the top of your message and click on the pencil to edit then add your pictures as described above.
I might add that you cannot post pictures without any text. There has to be some text before it will post pictures.

Yes, by all means anyone who has tips they want to share on posting ,please use this thread to post it. That way we can keep it all together.
And if Admin or moderators see a post defining ways to use this forum feel free to move them here.
Also please correct me if I post some wrong directions on using the buttons.

I still haven't figured out how to post pictures IN the text with text between the pictures. If someone knows how to do this, please explain it.

Start your new topic...drag or attach all your pictures...after you've dragged in your pics, you will see some additional choices at the bottom of the window...click "place in line" in the order you want the pictures to appear.

After you've done this, you will see lines of "code" in your message box...place your cursor in between the two brackets separating the attachments, hit return and start typing text related to that picture... Then repeat for each picture you want to put text under.

Then hit preview to see what it looks like...
