There's just no getting away from this cr@p...people want to buy higher quality stuff only to find out by some obscure source/reference/gossip that they didn't...very disappointing...! What a shame...! all those people who think they're protected...?DaninVan wrote: ↑Mon Nov 30, 2020 7:16 pm More on the ongoing investigations into CSA's alleged fraudulent business practices.

Don't piss off old people. The older we get the less "Life in Prison" is a deterrent !

Another case of someone buying a certification from CSA. I wish these guys would finally get what they deserve. As for the testing of the glasses to see what they are made from I would think purposely breaking them would tell you too, I'm just not sure what the differences would be.

Re: Safety Glasses: Scam?
I seem to remember reading an article about how CSA was actually a foreign company that simply used the Canadian specs, such as the electrical codes and get paid for enforcing them in Canada. Am I on the right track here? If I remember, they some how fenagled the rights to the codes. Am I confusing this with something else?

Re: Safety Glasses: Scam?
Nope. It's a long and tangled story. CSA is Canadian, but they do a lot of their 'work' in the US.
Basically it's allegedly a pay to play scam...and keep on paying. The big companies just consider it a cost of doing business in Canada.
How complex is the problem, you ask?
