Some 4+ years ago a neighbor asked me to help him make a simple cutting board to give his oldest son for Christmas. He decided not to go with an end grain design as time was short and he wanted to be the "maker". The attached shows the board after 4+ years of what the neighbor describes as regular, heavy use. Obviously the board is well cared for and is holding up well.
