WOW, Mike...that is a beautiful chair. And the persistence of your son to keep working on it over several visits from college should be commended. The lines and joints are spectacular. And Good for YOU for keeping him interested in the craft...!

I don't have any experience shipping anything like this...

Give him an "ATTABOY" for me.
Don't piss off old people. The older we get the less "Life in Prison" is a deterrent !

Really a beautiful chair, your son is to be commended. I love the flow of the lines in it.
Now he needs a table and 5 more chairs.
That should keep him busy.
