We've known you long enough to have a pretty good idea what we can can expect from you. I'm glad you came over. We needed an experienced sign maker.

Well thank you. lol Yeah, I do have my reputation, don't I

Although, I haven't made any signs in months. I need to get back to my basics, but: at least at the moment, IT'S TOO DAMN COLD OUT THERE! Woke up to 7.5 degrees this morning! I could get the shop nice and toasty with the heater, but my knuckle-headed husband can't seem to wrap his head around how to quickly heat it up. *smh* Oh well. This deep freeze can't last forever. (It better not).

You are right, cold fingers are not good to be working with. We used to cut the finger tips off our gloves so we could finger the nails to drive them, and when we missed and hit our finger it didn't hurt til coffee time when we went into the shack to thaw out a bit.

O U C H!!!! Yeah. Not doing it. Ken is going out, turning on the heater, and immediately turning on the fan, which makes it take triple the time to get it warm out there. I keep trying to tell him, that if he would go out, turn the heater on high, wait 1/2 or so, till the heat rises up towards the ceiling, THEN start the fan, it will warm up the whole shop a lot quicker. He had it on for at least two hours yesterday; figured it should be toasty out there-NOPE. That blasted fan was blowing cold air, because (yet again) Ken didn't listen to me. I shut it off, came back in the house, and worked on patterns. Screw it lol

I thought you insulated the new shop, or are you waiting for Rick to come down after the border opens to help you................

LOL it's insulated, but it only gets heat when we turn on heat. We've been single digits for a week or more at night, and I only get out there on the weekends (if I do at all). Teens/Low 20's during the day. So needless to say, it takes some extra time to get warmed up out there.

Barb,

Down here we have only had a few nights where the temperatures went below freezing so far this year. Christmas day it was 52 in the morning and 74 in the afternoon. At 2 pm today it was 70. Right now at 11:15 pm it is 64 deg. out, so another very warm day tomorrow. It's supposed to be colder later in the week, meaning about a 20 degree drop. Yup South Central NC is a pretty reasonable climate area to live in. I escaped Upstate NY to come here. Never going back, except to visit, in the Summer time.
