My thoughts on this particular plane is it is a replica of a plane this company made, awarded to the Foreman of the company upon his retirement, by the inscriptions on the plane. A very impressive piece of workmanship.

I think they copied the square tooth gears from the 1946 Ford 3/4 ton PU with a 4 speed transmission.
