Excellent Experience with Ridgid CS/TS...

Post by Nickp »

I bought a Ridgid drill/driver set back in 2013...at the time the driver had the highest torque available.

The last couple of times one of the batteries died after mixing just two gallons of paint...

So today I called Ridgid...waited way too long for human to answer so I opted for a call back. About 1/2hr later I received a call from a very nice lady who asked for the serial numbers of the batteries (to check the warranty registration), had me run a couple of tests with the drill, batteries and charger and in a couple of minutes she entered an order for replacements under the Lifetime Service Agreement.

For those that don't know the LSA, you get it when you purchase new and register for the warranty within 90 days. I'm glad I did.

I would also say that I've gotten my money's worth over the last 8 years and a few days.

Harder than he++ to get registered on Ridgid for a stock shelf item. Tried it with a vac and never did them to accept it.

The test results are in. Retirement is the best job I'm suited for.

Now I know why old guys wear suspenders.

New replacement batteries received June 5...the old ones will go to Home Depot for recycling.

Then I call Ridgid and they will add the replacement batteries to the Lifetime Services Agreement. I wonder if these will last 8 years...?
