Done, Finally - with an addition
Hi guys:
A couple of things: One, Barbie got her new air compressor, and two, she got the signs done, (thanks to the neighbor and his air compressor,) and I'm doing a cut here and there thanks to said (new) compressor.
New air compressor:
Ken asked what I wanted for my birthday this year. The only thing I could think of was to get an air compressor, since my other wish isn't going to come true for a little bit yet. So, I ordered it (on Amazon) and it was delivered last Friday (Sept. 3rd). A few days late to make my birthday, but that's okay. While it doesn't have the power I was accustomed to with the Bostich, I think I'll be able to live with this one. Seems to take longer to get the signs blown out, but I may double check what Ken has the setting at. It just doesn't have the oomph I'm used to. However, the sound (or lack there of) when running is beyond what I expected. The word "WOW" comes to mind.
The Signs (+1) I think the one in walnut is my favorite. The way the colors show (especially in the sun) is amazing. The picture doesn't do it justice, but it really does look great. Got that piece of wood from John, and I have one more... still debating on what to do with it.
Goofy is a second rendition, as the first one sold back in 2019 at the fair we had Christmas time where I work.
Again, thanks to John (honestjohn), I had the opportunity to have some signs out at the Peach Festival here over Labor Day Weeken at Johns' tent. I had a welcome sign with Donald on my display, and a gentleman came up asking if I had Goofy. Luckily, Ken thought I had one in my Completed Closet in the shop, and yup, he was right... I had another Goofy, as well as one of Grumpy. Goofy will be delivered tonight, after work.

My portable compressor is pretty fast but I like to have my earmuffs on when I turn it on. One option for you is to add another tank to it. They sell portable ones for contractors who need to be able to fire a few shots from a brad nailer or pinner without having to lug their compressor with them. As usual the signs look great.

I would give you seven thumbs up if I could Barb. I love the signs, all of them. My pick for favorite is the welcome with the "Coped" top.
I have the same compressor with the 6gal upright tank. I took the wheels off and mounted it on a stand. The sound difference is amazing, I don't jump out of my boots when it starts up. Remember to drain the condensation out quite often, surprising how fast it builds in the tank. I am not sure how big of a nail gun you can use, I just use a brad nailer and a nozzle to blow sawdust off. I did add an oiler in line for the brad nailer.
GOOD SHOW, Barb.
