Re: Remote gate operation
Micheal, would you make one for every machine? I use a gate on every machine tool so I can get max airflow to that tool. The homemade gates I used were made very similarly to the ones you show except manually slid. The problem I had with them was the fine dust binding the slider, but that can occur in the manufactured ones too. Good video. Thanks for posting it.

No, only for ‘hidden” or unreachable gates.Herb Stoops wrote: ↑Sun Sep 12, 2021 12:32 pm Micheal, would you make one for every machine? Re: Remote gate operation
I have one like that going to 2 sanders. If it was just going to one sander I would have installed it by the machine but I had to wye the connection for 2 which put the gate where I couldn't easily get to it. It and the piping run along a wall under a long work bench with large drawers and a shelf underneath. So I drilled a hole through the flange on the gate and put a threaded rod in the hole and double nutted it. The rod sticks up through a hole at the back of the bench.
