Carpentry: 45 degree transition idea.

This is more of a carpentry tip than a woodworking tip I suppose.... I found this in another group, but it seemed like something that would go well here on WoW.

This person was building a corner cabinet in his kitchen and needed to turn the 45 degree corner from side wall to front wall. This is how he did it: Rip a 2x4 on a 45 using the corner of the 2x4 as a guide. Slide the piece up that you rip off and tack it in place. Makes a perfect transition from the side walls to the 45 degree front with plenty to screw the drywall corner into.
