Is that Heidi Klum? I gather she is embracing her more mature physique.
And some of the rest of that story for the laymen among us- "Metabolically, Lawsonibacter is known for fermenting complex carbohydrates, producing short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs) like butyrate, which support gut lining integrity and provide energy to colonocytes. Enzymatic pathways identified through metagenomic studies highlight its contribution to the gut’s metabolic landscape."Biagio wrote: Sun Oct 18, 2026 9:03 am @Stick487
Coffee drinkers had ↑ Lawsonibacter asaccharolyticus in >54,000 stool samples.
Association replicated across populations; also seen with decaffeinated coffee.
Polyphenols + melanoidins likely drive microbiome effects, not caffeine alone.
Moderate coffee intake associated with ↑ Bifidobacterium, ↓ Enterobacteriaceae, ↑ diversity.
>5 cups/day linked to GERD, Crohn’s progression, and chronic constipation.

So some is good but you say too much is not? (2 Cups is usually enough for me.)
"Gastroesophageal reflux disease, or GERD, happens when acid from your stomach backs up into your esophagus, the tube connecting your stomach to your mouth."
Good to know...Biagio wrote: Sun Oct 18, 2026 2:34 pm found that, up to 5 cups of coffee a day have an unexpected benefit for the gut
Fix it w/ a large glass of apple juice...
