I am stumped too. I think it is a pull plane, but the 2 sets of handles have me baffled.

OK after further review, I came accross an article about these style planes. They were Belt makers planes, for making/ repairing the drive belts in the factories.

Is that first plane actually a marking gauge? I was wondering about that 4 hander too.

All beautiful planes...my favorite in this batch is number 4...what gorgeous grain...!
Don't piss off old people. The older we get the less "Life in Prison" is a deterrent !

The chamfer plane is definitely unusual. The one above it looks like it's either aluminum or stainless steel sole.

Sure looks like Aluminum, Aluminum tends to leave black streaks when rubbed against wood. SS is a better choice.
On the Chamfer Plane I did not know what it was, the sole looks like the point of a farmers plow.

Looks like aluminum to me too but I thought maybe I'm wrong because it would leave black marks like you say. Maybe it was just made for show.
