In all the years in the trades, I never saw a Disston Duplex saw. It seems like a good idea, but thinking back if it was, then it should have been more popular. File each side differently say crosscut and rip, course and fine, etc. Maybe if the set on the up side was more than the cutting side in a finish saw, might be a problem?
