These are shots of my shop. It is made to be used. I clean it out after every project or at the end of the day (usually)
I put all my tools away and the next day, I take out what ever i need as i need them.
The only ventilation I have in the shop is a box fan that i place behind me when I cut or sand, and a ceiling fan that blows the dust down to be caught by the box fan and blown out the over head doors, which are always open when i am working out here.
I wear ear protection, goggles and a dust mask.
I have stands made for each of my power tools to facilitate moving them around the shop. I just need to run get some wheels for them then attach them. Getting too old to be dragging this stuff around the shop.

Damn, you run a tight ship! Can I borrow you for a week or so?
My TS is in the reverse position to yours ie just inside the overhead door. I have to leave mine open if I have anything over a couple of ft. long to rip.
How much space do you have on the infeed side?

It is 30 foot deep and 20 foot wide at the dog leg. So, I still have 18 feet of space on the infeed end of the table saw. I can run a full sheet of plywood to cut it down on the table saw with no problem. I built the run off table to catch what ever I run through the table saw. I added slots to the run off table to accommodate the table saw slide.
I plan to build a 12 foot high car port out side the over head doors end. That way I can move out side in the heat of South Texas summers.
I gave up a 10 by 18 foot corner for Sandras room off the narrow side and added another 10 feet to her room, by tearing out the wall and extending the room out.
Our area is black gumbo soil and everything sinks and rises with the moisture content. The concrete floor on the north side had cracked many years ago and one side of it had risen 3 inches. So when I built her side, I raised the floor 18 inches and carried that height all the way through the new part.
I could post some pictures of that build if you are interested.

Do they even make something like that? Wouldn't it be easier to just replace the cutter, assuming you could even buy the parts?
Probably cheaper to just buy a new pencil sharpener. Or switch to mechanical pencils.

Yes they still make those, I have one in my shop too and a bunch of the hand ones like I used to carry in my nail apron,also a couple of hand ones to sharpen flat carpenter pencils.

I will use the lee valley erasable pencils that are easily erased never showing up after finish like all those you cite do.

Sorry Herb, I meant the actual cutter head inside the housing; replacement cutter or some means of sharpening the original?
Office quality electric sharpeners are a glut on the used office equipment market. I picked up a 1/2 doz of them for free.
