Getting ready for the christmas market, this is about half of what I will be taking. If I can sell even this much I shall be a very happy person :D

I've tried guessing what people want, in the past. Failed every time. Last year the wife made a load of porcelain poinsettia flowers, looked fantastic as table decorations, didnt sell one of them.
Hopefully i will have enough variety to attract somebody.

I think that must be the hardest part, trying to figure out what to charge and what will sell. Some people say "Time and Material X 2".
I just give my stuff away being flattered that anyone would want it, and I enjoy just making it. But I don't sell at events, they charge a lot for a table,or booth.

Herb, I dont go to ordinary monthly craft markets. The people who frequent them want something for a few pennies. Luckily I dont need to sell stuff, I'm not interested in time consuming small items for that reason. I just make what I want, and get a few commissions from time to time. If someone asks me for a specific box, made out of exotic wood, then they pay equivalent US$100. I always tell them the price up front, havent had a bad debt yet. But this particular market is fun to go to. Its in a small forest, right next to the beach, at night, with lights strung from all the trees and xmas music on the loudspeakers, so I have built up a stock. I sell the boxes there for around US$50, which covers all my expenses and a fiver in my pocket.

Of course, the hot mulled wine stall does not figure into my attending, at all. (lol)

Sunnybob, that sounds like an enjoyable experience, I didn't realize that the items brought that much in. It would be just fun to go to that event.
