I follow some YouTube channels that build off road recovery vehicles and use them. They all have been keeping a small adjustable wrench in their pockets lately. They got me to thinking about this little multi-wrench I keep near and dear but not necessarily in my pocket. It is about 4" long.

I owned several of those over 60 years ago when I worked on my bicycles.
IIRC there are called dog bone wrenches. Still have one floating around somewhere.
I believe that they only can in imperial, not metric.

The closest thing I can think of is my 6" caliper graduated in fractions of an inch and metric. I reach for it a lot.

My Leatherman Wave model. I don't think I've been anywhere (except the hospital) without it in the last 10+ years. It's kind-of an American version of a Swiss Army Knife. It's all stainless, and complete with 4" knife blade. serrated knife blade, saw blade . 2 grades of file, can opener, scissors, 3 sizes of flat blade screwdriver, Phillips screwdriver, Metric and Imperial ruler, needle nose pliers with pipe grips and wire cutter/stripper with replaceable wire cutter blade. There isn't much that I encounter that can't be worked on with my Leatherman Wave. Other specialized tools can handle big jobs better, but they don't all fit in one pocket or belt case.
