first box of the year

#1

Post by sunnybob »

Had lots of other stuff to do so far this year, but finally got round to having some fun.

I openly admit I saw the basic shape online a while ago, but cant credit the person because the info is lost, and I have modified a bit too.

Stands 18" tall

Nope, no idea how to change it around. I had thought this was an issue that had been resolved.

You had a 2MEG image at over 3000 pixels...
Resizing fixes the issue...
If the viewer has a large enough screen all is well..
Your original image filled my 36" screen w/ leftovers..
Ctrl+R brings up your resizing AP... Just fill in the numbers that work, save the resized image.. Post it...
In the past you had issues w/ uploading to the forum because of huge images size...
Also, resizing is kinder to you, everyone and everything...

I'm a computer ignoramus Stick. First try of my new phone (first in 10 years). took me 3 hours to get it to talk to my laptop.
resize? Huh? Say what?
It shows up as a quite small insert on my quite small laptop.
I will try to find a small child to explain it to me.
Thanks for helping an old gal to stand upright.

I didn't see this before it got corrected but if the photo was sideways that can happen with your phone orientation when you snap the photo. To fix it I open the photo in a viewer then use the rotation arrows to correct it then save the corrected version as a new file and post that one.

I remember seeing a version of chest of drawers like that one years ago on the old forum I think. Great job and perfect for a kid's bedroom.

I've had a request for a life sized version, to be used as a filing cabinet
That isnt going to happen. Once I mentioned to cost of the wood alone the idea didnt seem so good.

It seems I am not using my new phones camera correctly. I used a digital zoom which appears to have created far too many pixels. I'm getting sick of learning new stuff, bring back win95.

I remember I had irfanview several computers ago, I will reload it.
My first real computer system was windows 3.5. But the best damn computer I ever had was a commodore amiga. It had a full word processing sheet and the best games, running with a HALF MEG ram. I upgraded it to a whole ONE MEG before I finally had to let it go.

DITTO Irfanvew.

Add to that Faststone Photo Resizer, which allows you to re-size batches at a time.
