Router Table Motors

At one time Porter Cable was the go to for a motor for router table lifts and was available as motor only with no base. Woodpeckers is now selling a motor only for lifts and is decently priced at $200. At 3.25 HP it's the same power as the old PC motor. Whether it holds up as well as the PC did remains to be seen. Hopefully they come with better bearings than PCs did.

Woodpeckers still has these motors on for that price plus a 2.25 hp motor (same as a Bosch 1617, Hitachi M12VC, DW 618, etc) for $140. Their collets are reasonable too at $17.50 each.

I recently purchased a Woodpecker surfacing bit which is replaceable insert for $65. I feel like that is a pretty good price for an RC bit. It came with 3 extra inserts too. Most Woodpecker products are made in Ohio. I like that I can buy American made. I'm not sure where the motors are made.

https://spetools.com/ has numerous types of these router bits with replaceable cutters. I'm not 100% sure where Woodpeckers sources their RC bits from. YMMV.

I'm pretty sure the ad said made in their Strongville, Ohio facility. The router motors may be the only thing they carry that isn't made there.
