Had an error and I am trying to figure it out. I was starting to cut an interim spoil board using the Avid CNC spoil-board file. I referenced the workpiece with the touch plate and it cut the pockets perfectly. I then loaded the file for the hold down bolt through holes and they started about 1/4 inch off. I did not go back and use the touch plate to reorient the machine since. nothing had moved and I was using the same bit.

I went back and looked at the file and apparently it is right.

Do you guys use the touch plate to orient the machine before running every file even though nothing has changed or moved?
