Help me make a decision #1

I ordered an Icra 1000Hd miter gauge---or so I thought.
Instead I incorrectly ordered & rec'd an Incra 1000SE.

Why the 1000Hd???
Because I was tired of fighting with the OEM gauge while making 45's. Never a true 45. Always off by a smidgen. I'm sure you can relate.

So several questions
Is the 1000HD GREATLY superior than the 1000SE??
Will the HD allow me to dial out that last smidgen of having an open miter??

BTW the 1000 SE was at a very decent price.
IIRC about $20-30 cheaper than the going rate.

Your thought/suggestions.

TIA

The SE has the micro-adjust like the HD to make those "smidgeon" adjustments within 1/2 deg of the graduation it's sitting in...if you need the 1 deg graduation you'll need the HD...the big difference is the SE has graduations every 5 deg and the HD are every 1 deg. Sometimes the HD is packaged with an accessory or two...you might want to check...

I have the SE , You can dial it into the "in between" 5°notches,it just won't be locked into a notch.
