Miter Knife or Shooting Board...?

I find myself looking at all my tools and thinking it's time to get rid of some...(sacrilege...?)

I have a Lion miter knife that I restored quite a while ago...and a shooting board I made bunches of ago's...

I'm looking at both and thinking I only need one...

...and what am I doing with 2 RAS's and 2 miter saws...

I got into this predicament by having a "shop" in a couple of different places...hence the redundancy...

Back to the miter knife vs shooting board...what do you like better...? Use most...? Exclusively...?

Funny you should post that question

I'm in the process of TRYING to get my Lion trimer knives to be perpendicular to the base.
Been at it on & off for two days. Thought I had it last night but today after 2 cuts it was off again. And by OFF, I mean a lot. The back & knives are tiled toward the table from the top. The bottom of the knives has about 1/16 air gap. The 45's are adjustable & ok.

I'm starting to get annoyed and I'm considering making a shooting board, but then I'll have to set it up and square that.

I have a lion still in the box been sitting there for going on 4 years. I am not sure why I bought it, I think it was a close out sale or some such thing. One of these days I might need it. It sets right where I unloaded it, Heavy dang thing.
