Another video I found from Paul Sellers of which there are many and all interesting and informative. In this video he takes an abused and worn out tenon saw and files the teeth completely off and recuts and resizes a completely new set of teeth onto it and the end result is amazingingly efficient. A half hour video that is well worth watching if you like handsaws.

It makes me want to too. I was looking at the old collectible specialty saws on ebay a while back and the ones that were in good shape or restored were going for quite a bit but now I'm thinking I should go back and look at the ones that appear to be a near write off. If you price the high end ones now, like Bad Axe for example, you have to decide if you want it or another powered stationary machine instead.

...and you'll have to wait 3-4-5 months...
EDIT...I think I'll stick with Disston's and Stanley's
