Handy tool from the Quilter's toolbox
I use double sided tape for a number of projects and the process of peeling the cover off the second side has always been a bit of a PTA. One afternoon while muttering to myself about this and carefully trying not cut myself with a razor blade knife, SWMBO wandered in to the shop to inquire as to lunch. A quick observation and she offered up the seam ripper shown below as an alternative. It works like a charm! Slips easily under the cover, makes a nice slit which can be easily raised to peel the cover. All without disturbing the tape nor endangering any fingers.

Did you give it back? Or are you still sleeping in the shop?
I can explain it to you but I can't UNDERSTAND it for you!
Wait a moment, let me overthink it.!
Of course I talk to myself, -- sometimes I need expert advice.

How nice of her...and you didn't even have to steal it.
Great idea...! I've always had the same problem, sometimes to the point of frustration...

Don't piss off old people. The older we get the less "Life in Prison" is a deterrent !

I use a pin vise with a sewing needle. It's sharper.
