herd of elephants
A friend asked me to make a box for her work friend who was going to another country, but she only gave me 10 days notice. Normally I take my time and declare a box finished, when its finished. But despite a couple of setbacks purely because I tried to rush stuff I made the deadline and here it is
No.... wait.... my friend sent pictures of the box to her daughter back in the UK saying how much she liked it. So then I get a message from her daughter asking me to make another one for her mum, for mothers day. At least this time I got 3 weeks notice.
This is the second one, slightly larger (the size of a landscape A4 sheet of paper). But this time I fitted Maple tusks. Now I have to make sure she doesnt accidentally see it when she comes round before next sunday.
My friend was happy, she said the recipient was also happy. case closed.No.... wait.... my friend sent pictures of the box to her daughter back in the UK saying how much she liked it. Re: herd of elephants
I only started with woodwork after seeing a bandsaw box made on a utube video. They are at least 90% of my work.
Elephants are definitely the most popular animal shape.
But I made this one for my daughter in law because she has guinea pigs

Re: herd of elephants
Bandsaw boxes are fun to make have only done one elephant, and it was an Elephant padlock, along with a dog and a camel, they were replicas of some ancient Egyptian padlocks I found.
