Been halfway there - managed to stop halfway through the tape blade ( not that it helped).

A stop block is the best way for me, I measure off the tooth, set my stop block clamp it in place and away we go, how many you want?
It also helps to bevel the bottom edge of the block to give the sawdust a place to go.
