Had this cut in a 2' thick piece of Ash. Finally got up the nerve to try and tackle finishing it.

Did you stain it brown or is that it's natural color?

Reminds me of the Texas state record bass Miss Mollie, in the Dallas-Fort Worth Basspro aquarium. I imagine long dead by now.

I bought a board a couple years ago to make planes and plane totes and knobs from and it is very white in color. Maybe there is more than one species.
