I have used some like that, they work if you have an overhang OK, but otherwise sticking out creates a tripping hazard VOE. Like a planer or drum sander with outfeed tables,works fine, Table Saw not so much unless they are located under the extensions, and might be a tad inconvenient. On second look ,they remove, then you have to find a storage spot,and unless you move around a lot that might be a problem. Myself,I don't think my ole back wouldn't like putting them off and on, But a young guy like you would be fine.

All my mobile equipment will have its own cabinet underneath...that's where I will put the removables...this way I won't lose them (yeah, right )
Yup...us yung'uns only "snap, crackle, pop" in the right places...
