Me I guess
Hi, I am maybe at the end of the complete newbie stage Of woodworking. I have an idea of what I don’t know LOL. Just turned 60 in March and the world has gone in the dumper since then. Married, 1 kid, electrician, Air Force Reserves. Live in Pepperell MA. I’m a member of several woodworking forums, and heard that several members of 1, have left and came here. Since I knew them to be good people and appreciated their advice, I figgered I would see if I could be a member here, also. So Hi everyone.

So many familiar names here! Nickp beautiful boat there! I’m not so tech savvy, but I’m gonna try to at least get an avatar set up. Thanks for the welcomes.

Re: Me I guess
I’ve been on a couple of forums that related to my hobbies, and really felt like one big family. Inevitably there’s always a rift about something. Sometimes 1 or 2 people leave, and the forum continues to be a welcoming place, sometimes not so much. Here’s what I know, my woodworking skills/knowledge is minuscule, but I probably enjoy my shop time as much as anyone. I like to think that I get more frustrated than anyone else, but I suspect there are a LOT of perfectionists in the hobby/craft/trade. I have no ego at all about/within this hobby, just wish I was further along in the hobby competence wise. I will ask lots of questions, read other peoples questions and try to learn as much as I can. Certainly not gonna tell anyone they’re wrong. (Well maybe about electrical work LOL) Okay enough philosophical stuff, gotta go try to upload an avatar

Re: Me I guess
I got to get the triangle under my name to turn red so I can open it and maybe set up an avatar.

Re: Me I guess
What are you using, Artie? Maybe someone can help you on an I Pad, I know not about that. He wants to set his Avatar and Profile.

An avatar can be uploaded from photos, that’s how I did mine... just upload and set..Herb Stoops wrote: ↑Sat Oct 10, 2020 8:10 pm What are you using, Artie? Maybe someone can help you on an I Pad, I know not about that. He wants to set his Avatar and Profile.
Herb
What else in the profile can’t be set easily on an iPad?
