Veterans day.

#1

Post by Bushwhacker »

I am not sure just how many of us on here are Military Veterans, I feel that there are several of us.
No matter what country we served for or what branch of that service we were in. We are all Veterans and once a year our service is honored.
Usually, we veterans thank one another for our service and in my case, Welcome one another home>

This short video covers all branches and is appropriate for all countries served.

My brother Stick is going to post the video for me.
Please be patient, its well worth the wait.

Don't piss off old people. The older we get the less "Life in Prison" is a deterrent !

Yesterday, Remembrance Day, we had at least one instance of an anti-vaxxer doing her soap-box thing at a Remembrance Day ceremony.
I can't think of a more egregious affront to Veterans than to take the one Day a year, in which we all honour the sacrifices they made to protect our freedoms, to actually ignore the purpose of the events and run off at the mouth on some unrelated issue or other.
People here are appalled at the insensitivity of the moron spouting forth.

Herb
I was in the grocery yesterday and spotted a Viet Nam vet in line checking out. I went over and shook his hand a welcomed him home.
He said" Glad you made it back".
Herb, you said pretty much that same thing.
I was touched.
This has become my go to response to all Vietnam veterans.
"Glad you made it back.".
Isn't that beautiful.?
