Small job cleaning...

the elcheapo 24 pin output M/F connector on my weather station had corroded making the station inoperable...
to clean the female contacts I used contact cleaner and a flossing brush... used Nolox on the contacts and dielectric grease on the plastic assembly and it now works like a champ and I'm back in business... used a clean brush to apply the Nolox...
this brush just may be the ticket for your CNC, truck, boat, power tool, computer, and what not come the need...

NOTE:
Nolox electrical grease prevents the formation of oxides, sulfides and other corrosion deposits on copper, aluminum, and steel surfaces and conductors....
Dielectric grease is made by adding a thickener to silicone oil. It is waterproof and fireproof. It is a non-conductive insulator...
so keep it off of the contacts and use it as a connector sealer...

Noalox? The upstairs wall receptacles in my house are wired with aluminum so very familiar with that product. I had problems with arcing in one outlet and the electrician used a purple wire nut to make the connections.

I used Noalox to join triplex with servits. I agree with Tom, any aluminum wiring should be coated with it.

True. The instructions say to spread the wires a bit and get it inside the twist where the connection will be.

Back around 1980 Chev had an electronic module inside the distributor and it came with a packet of grease that was for conducting heat from the module to the body of the distributor.
