Our generation would know what time it is no matter the characters on the clock. I wonder which of the later generations need a digital clock to tell time and can't read a dial.

I know my grandsons don't; I'll be fixing that on my next trip over to Victoria.
Did you know that the origins of the 360degree circle division are Sumerian and Babylonian?

I'll bet that many to most won't comprehend or understand the equations because of the new math being taught...

I can't get that link to work. I read a book a few years ago about the math ratio of Phi, 1/1.6. In the book was a discussion about Sumerian math and if I remember it right, they used a base 60 system whereas we use a base 10 system. Seems to me there was a mention about a base 20 system in history too which probably correlated with 10 fingers and 10 toes.

There was also an interesting section about crows being able to count. There were lots of stories when I was young about crows knowing the difference when a farmer would step out onto his porch armed with a shotgun or carrying a broom and that crows could tell the difference. In the book it describes someone who noticed that if two people walked into the house with guns the crows would wait until both walked back out again before flying back into the farmyard (probably to steal food from livestock). An experiment was done where they kept changing how many people went in and out and the crows were able to keep track up to 4 but not to 5.

Don't know what all those 9s are for, but Sandra wanted to send this clock to you. I bought it for her this last Christmas.

The 9's clock is a gift for the guy who is fast to announce that he went to college and took Calculus.
I can tell time by the positions of the hands.
