Hello again everyone!
I've been away for a while. I have been playing with my Avid4848, but just ordered the table extension to make it a 48x96, plus ordered the 4th axis.
I had to take a break for some heart surgery and am on the mend. The surgery was more than expected and it's taking a little more to get back up to speed.
I hope all are well and things are good with everyone.

Good to hear from you again. I am glad your heart surgery went well. Don't try to over do it for awhile and give your ticker a chance to heal. When you feel tired, rest.

Great to hear, Mike! The getting better part, not the needing surgery in the first place...

Re: Hello again everyone!
I'm doing good. I should have looked up Sominus! I was stuck in St. Luke's hospital in Houston (where they did the surgery) and can you imagine just sitting there looking at four walls? No phone, no computer, no nothing! Oh well, back on the mend just needed a retread!
I had quite a bit of reloading equipment and supplies, and someone wanted that really bad, so other than a little cash in between, I swapped reloading for CNC improvements!
You know, it is SO GOOD to see my old friends!
Is anyone going to the Vectric symposium/forum in San Diego this year? I am registered, got my flights, hotel, etc. I'd LOVE to meet you in person if anyone is going.

Re: Hello again everyone!
Well, since the kids grew up and left the nest, we used to go out shooting almost every weekend, thus all the reloading equipment, then it was just sitting there and the light bulb went on in my head, why don't I convert this into something that is productive! Saved up a few more dollars and ordered the extra table length and rotary axis.
I cut an original design porch swing made out of real mahogany and everyone who sees it wants one. Well, I have a source for the mahogany at a reasonable price, but it was a pain to tile the workpiece and cut a 6-foot long part on a 4 foot table. So, what the heck, it's only money, and I have never seen a armored car in a funeral procession, so I jumped in and took the plunge.
Once I get recovered from my surgery and have everything in and assembled, I'll try to figure it all out!

Well, that explains why I haven't heard from you in a while. Thought you might be mad or something. LOL
As of now, Dave, Jay, and me are set up for San Diego. Plus wives. You should be fully retired now and able to play full time at your leisure.

Hello. Buddy!
Nope, not quite retired yet, getting all of this plumbing work done on my heart first while I still have insurance. Been tied up with all that!
Wife and I are coming to San Diego, so I owe you a beer, or two, or three etc.

Re: Hello again everyone!
Okay, just got the notice that the Vectric conference is postponed. I already paid for air so now I'll have to add $200-300 to change airfare, no telling what the cost of the hotel, and these clowns will probably postpone it again. Thats what happens when you hold something in California. I'm just going to bail out and request a refund.

Re: Hello again everyone!
Even though the airfare is non-refundable, I can use it for another trip, maybe to the mountains to see what snow looks like, after all on the Gulf Coast, there is really no such thing!
