When measuring the spacing of two identical holes to be able to add a third at the same spacing, just measure from one edge of the first hole to the same edge of the second hole. it's the same measurement as center to center, but much easier to get accurately.

For that measurement, add 1/2 the diameter of the hole to the above measurement.
